SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PENNSYLVANIA— Fresh off a thrilling win over defending 2024 LLWS champion Lake Mary in the Southeast Regional final, Irmo LL of South Carolina cruised past Braintree LL of Massachusetts—the New England Region champion—13-0 in one-hit fashion in each team’s Williamsport opener on Thursday.

The Summerlin South Little League team, representing the Mountain Region and Nevada, beat Washington 5-3 in its second game of the Little League World Series on Friday.

Irmo won the Southeast bracket by defeating defending Little League World Series champion Lake Mary (Florida) 5-4 in dramatic fashion, scoring five runs in the bottom of the sixth to win the game. Brady Westbrooks had the game-winning three-run double for the walk-off victory in the game played in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Florida was one out away from punching a return trip to Williamsport and attempting to defend last year's title.

South Carolina snuck into the Little League World Series with a five-run rally over the defending champs. But the club from Irmo, representing the Southeast region, is showing it belongs at the tournament,
