TIYN: Grand opening for the Caldwell Memorial Pool, Gem State Nationals BMX racing starts today and goes through the weekend, and Meridian Library District's summer reading program kicks off today.

The family-friendly event allowed attendees to have fun by running through water from a fire hydrant and a chance to learn where that water comes from.
