The Wolverines were crushed by Texas in Game 2 of the Austin regional of the NCAA tournament, but they're not eliminated yet.

The Wolverines will face the winner of UCF and Eastern Illinois in an elimination game in the Austin Regional.

Texas softball advanced to the NCAA Austin Super Regionals with a 9-0 win Sunday over UCF. The Longhorns went undefeated in their region, crushing Eastern Illinois and Michigan in previous games. They'll host No. 11 Clemson in the upcoming round. The Tigers defeated Kentucky on Sunday 5-1 .

Following a solid win to start the NCAA Tournament, the Michigan Wolverines get set to take on the host Texas Longhorns on Saturday afternoon. Both teams are in the winner’s bracket thanks to picking up wins on the opening day of the national tournament.

U-M’s NCAA tournament run under third-year coach Bonnie Stoll came to an end with a disastrous fourth and fifth innings in which Hoehn gave up a combined seven runs in the rematch with UCF, falling 10-8 at McCombs Field in Austin, Texas, in the Austin regional. That followed a 16-4 loss to Texas in which U-M was run-ruled by the overall 6-seed.

Michigan threatened again when Michigan's top two offensive weapons, Conway and Putz, worked their way aboard via single and walk. Vega, charged with all three runs allowed in the sixth inning Friday, induced a pair of infield popups and a harmless flyout to center to escape with the lead.
