LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A southern Indiana softball team was given a warm welcome Monday following their run in the Little League World Series. The Floyds Knobs Community Club 12-U All-Star Team made it to the championship round. They had a four-game winning streak but came up short to a team from Pennsylvania.
A Little League Softball World Series title is on the line when West Suburban battles Floyds Knobs, Indiana, at 3 p.m. Sunday on ABC in Greenville, North Carolina.
The hosts have been playing the most. North Carolina has gone 3-0 thus far, pulling out a series of close wins over Brazil, Indiana and Japan. They have had to grind their way through the first week of the tournament, with just one win coming by more than one run.
