Willits agreed with the Washington Nationals on Saturday for an $8.2 million signing bonus, only six days after the club selected him No. 1 overall in Major League Baseball’s amateur draft.

Last Sunday, he achieved it when he was selected by the Nationals at age 17 out of Fort Cobb-Broxton High School (Okla.).
