Four people have died and whole towns have been left submerged in water after flooding struck New South Wales in Australia. A deluge of rain over the past few days has caused severe flooding along the coast north of Sydney.

Two people have died and another two are missing after major flooding in New South Wales (NSW) left more than 50,000 people under evacuation warnings.

Record floodwaters on Australia’s east coast have left four people dead and one missing, officials said Friday as rain eased over the disaster area. Four bodies have been retrieved from floodwaters in New South Wales since Wednesday.
