BALTIMORE — Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who reunited with his family last week after 160 days apart following his mistaken deportation to El Salvador, was taken into ICE custody Monday after an immigration check-in, his attorney said.

Kristi Noem said deportation proceedings for Kilmar Abrego Garcia were being processed after he reported to the ICE facility.

The Department of Homeland Security said it is processing Kilmar Abrego Garcia for deportation to Uganda after he was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Baltimore Monday.
