NEW YORK — Mets infielder Mark Vientos was scratched from the lineup ahead of Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Citi Field. Vientos, who was originally slotted at No. 2, was removed for “precautionary reasons” with abdominal soreness, the team announced. The severity of his injury is unknown at this point.
