Vice President JD Vance met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the first time since their squabble in the Oval Office earlier this year.

The intensified diplomacy came as Russia launched its largest drone barrage against Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022.
Vance and Zelenskyy clashed during an Oval Office meeting in February. Trump is speaking to Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 19.
In the meeting, Vance accused Zelenskyy of being insufficiently grateful for U.S. military aid as his country fights off a Russian invasion. President Donald Trump later echoed Vance's accusations during the meeting, leading Zelenskyy to be kicked out of the White House.
