Roger Penske has always had a pristine reputation. But another scandal with the team he owns in the series he owns has raised new questions.
Boles said he offered Callum Ilott, Kyle Kirkwood and Marcus Ericsson the chance to skip the banquet, but they showed up. Those drivers' cars failed post-race inspection and were penalized. Ilott had finished 12th but is shown 33rd; Kirkwood, from sixth to 32nd; and Ericsson from second to 31st.
Penske and Ganassi are two motorsports giants, and their rivalry will take center stage again this weekend at the Indy 500.
Issues discovered on Penske's Nos. 2 and 12 cars Sunday was also displayed on Newgarden's 500-winning car last year displayed at the IMS Museum.

Indy 500 results: Alex Palou captures first oval victory, cements legend as an all-time racing great
The famed “Month of May” concludes with the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500. Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden is aiming to become the first driver ever to win three consecutive Indy 500s, but to do so, he’ll have to do it from the final row of the grid.
Alex Palou, a three-time IndyCar Series champion, won the Indy 500 for the first time in his career, holding off 2022 winner Marcus Ericsson.
This year, like all years, the month of May at Indianapolis culminates in the 109th edition of the Indianapolis 500, the signature race for the NTT IndyCar Series and a motorsports institution well beyond the state of Indiana.
