Max Dowman was aged 15 years and 235 days when he came on as a substitute for Arsenal against Leeds on Saturday to become the second-youngest player to feature in a Premier League match.

Arsenal have handed 15-year-old academy star Max Dowman his Premier League debut. Dowman was included among the substitutes ahead of Arsenal’s home match against Leeds United after rising through the club’s academy and came on for Noni Madueke in the 64th minute at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal delivered a commanding performance at the Emirates, thrashing Leeds United 5-0 in their Premier League clash. The Gunners took control early, with Jurrien Timber heading in the opener from a Declan Rice corner.
