LSU baseball edged Arkansas in the opening game at the College World Series Saturday night. Tigers advance in winners bracket.

Arizona starter Smith Bailey held that 3-1 lead until the seventh inning, when Louisville led off with a Garret Pike double and bunt single from Neighbors. Bailey was relieved by Garrett Hicks, who allowed a sacrifice fly by Lucas Moore.

On Friday afternoon, Rocco's Pizza & Cantina in Omaha, Nebraska posted a score update of its annual $5 Jell-o shot challenge that takes place at every College World Series. A purchased Jell-o shot adds points for each of the eight participating fanbases, and as of early Friday afternoon, LSU is in the lead with 943 points.
