Let’s face it: If now-former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot hadn’t been caught canoodling on camera at a Coldplay concert, it’s unlikely DeJoy would have wound up being named the new CEO, at the company he co-founded a decade ago.

Brooklynite Pete DeJoy has taken the reins at Astronomer after its disgraced boss Andy Byron was caught on the kiss cam cozying up with the head of HR.

Pete DeJoy took over following former CEO Andy Byron’s resignation after he was captured on a “kiss cam” with a fellow Astronomer employee, who is not his wife, at a Coldplay concert.
