Scottie Scheffler won the PGA Championship by five shots to claim his third major title, but one former PGA Tour golfer has admitted he was 'blinded' by Rory McIlroy's recent success

The idea behind the PGA Tour's signature events was that with no cut, smaller fields, and huge purses, all of the circuit's top players would attend.

Scheffler proved he can win a major outside of Augusta with his resounding PGA Championship victory. However, he didn't have the best go of things when he last teed off at this major. Scheffler finished 41st at the 2024 U.S. Open, which is his worst finish at any tournament over the last two-and-a-half years.
