Saka doubled down, worked hard perfecting his diet, was disciplined in the gym, on the training pitches, with physios. He was helped through it by the arrival of a new puppy – a Cockapoo called Tucker.

During his time out injured earlier this year, Bukayo Saka was given a book by one of Mikel Arteta’s assistant coaches at Arsenal. The book in question was The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and the message of it feels apt now given the season Saka has just had.
