The celebration lasted late into the night on May 18 after No. 16 Oregon rallied to defeat Stanford in their NCAA Softball Regional elimination game at Jane Sanders Stadium. But it didn’t last much longer than that.
The Oregon Ducks softball team is one step away from Oklahoma City. After a gritty run through the Eugene Regional, the Ducks are back in the Super Regionals to face the Liberty Flames with momentum on their side.
Oregon and Liberty play Game 1 in the best-of-three super regional series at 7 p.m. Friday at Jane Sanders Stadium.

Should Oregon advance to the Super Regional round, it is paired with the College Station Regional, which includes host No. 1 seed Texas A&M, Liberty, Marist and Saint Francis. The winners of the Eugene and College Station Regionals will play a best-of-three series between May 22-25.
