Kayem Foods Inc. has issued a voluntary recall for more than 24,000 pounds of its Sweet Apple Chicken Sausages.

A Massachusetts-based food company has recalled 24,173 pounds of chicken sausage as the products may be contaminated with pieces of plastic. According to the USDA, the Class I recall involves "All Natural al fresco chicken sausage sweet apple with Vermont made syrup.”

Kayem Foods recalled 24,000 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken sausage. The affected packages have a lot code of 179 and a “use/frz by” date of October 1, 2025 Three consumers reported pieces of white plastic in their products,
