The M’s recalled right-hander Blas Castano from Triple-A Tacoma and designated Jesse Hahn for assignment. Castano has never pitched in the majors, but gives the M’s an additional arm who has thrown as both a starter and reliever this season with the Rainiers. Castano was 2-1 with a 3.43 ERA in 10 games with seven starts with Tacoma.
