In a game full of twists and turns, the Mets electrified the home crowd with a ninth-inning comeback but fell, 7-5, to the Dodgers in 13 innings.

The Dodgers called on a rarely used strategy to find a way to survive against the Mets in the wee hours of Saturday morning. In a tie game in the bottom of the 12th, the Mets loaded the bases with one out.

Tanner Scott blows the save in the ninth and neither team could score again until the 13th. Teoscar Hernandez’s RBI double put the Dodgers back on top in a 7-5 win.
