New York Yankees reliever Fernando Cruz will be placed on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder injury, the reliever said Thursday morning. Manger Aaron Boone said Cruz was dealing with “shoulder stuff” and hadn’t been available to pitch “the last couple of days” following Wednesday’s 4-3 win over the Texas Rangers at Yankee Stadium.
