When you save the MS Word document as a webpage, then it in saved with the extension .htm and the format is HTML. When you click on this HTML file, it will open with your default browser.

Save the file, uploading it to your website if necessary. When visitors view the file and click the print button, a new window will open that contains the print-optimized HTML file you created.

Open Internet Explorer. Click on the empty gray box to the right of your active page (or press "Ctrl-T"). Switch back to the first Web page by clicking on its tab.
