MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Storm Elsa is a little stronger as it heads towards the Lesser Antilles. At 11 p.m., the center of the storm was located 260 miles east-southeast of Barbados.
At 11 p.m., Elsa was about 175 miles east-southeast of Montego Bay, Jamaica. Elsa was downgraded to tropical storm status with the 11 a.m. Saturday advisory.
The latest track from the National Hurricane Center, released at 11 p.m. ET Friday, still shows parts of the southeastern United States, including Florida, in Hurricane Elsa’s path.
