Just days after Erin, Tropical Storm Fernand has now formed in the Atlantic. And it's not the only system we're watching. Here's what you need to know.
“After Monday, Fernand should weaken due to the influences of cooler waters and increasing shear, and the storm will likely become post-tropical in 3-4 days,” NHC forecasters said.
The system that is most likely to become Tropical Storm Fernand is currently a tropical wave about 100 miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands, the National Hurricane Center said.
Tropical Storm Fernand formed southeast of Bermuda and is expected to weaken early next week, while Invest 99L shows only a 20% chance of development.
