Tokyo startup H2L has launched Capsule Interface technology enabling full-body robot control with muscle sensors, offering immersive remote operation.

There were two possible approaches – Tap into the Infra-red signal line and fake the remote control – Completely replace the main circuit board and control the motors and sensors directly.

Both allow it to perform seven varied medical procedures using a remote control operated by a human using foot pedals, HTC Vive trackers, and motion-capture cameras.
