Enter the “ Column Column Chart ” in Microsoft Excel, a clever visualization technique that combines category-level data with overall totals to tell a more complete story.

In this post we show you how to create a Bar Graph or Column Chart in Excel. Bar graphs could be both 2-D or 3-D depending on the editor you use.

Click "Finish" to create the column chart. Click on the column chart. You will see a border around the object. Hold the "Ctrl" key down and click "C" to copy the chart to the clipboard.

The Cluster Column option is the left-most option of each of the column types, such as 2-D, 3-D or Cylinder. The cluster column chart is automatically created by Excel on the same page as your data.

It’s quick and easy to create and really changes the mood—it’s much more interesting that a traditional column or line chart, and the story is easy to discern, which just a quick glance.

You’re ready to create the chart by basing it on the three-columns of data shown earlier in Figure A. To do so, select the entire data set B2:D16 and do the following: Click the Insert tab.
