Visual Studio Code, the popular development text editor and IDE, has rolled out its big July 2025 release. The v1.103 update adds new Git and terminal integrations, better language support, and more.
This means Visual Studio users, for example, can now use GitHub and other Git-compatible repositories to host and manage their projects.
Visual Studio 2012 is now able to connect to any Git host, including TFS, CodePlex, GitHub and Stash, using an extension available today as Update 2 preview.
