The December 2023 update to Python in Visual Studio Code introduces several new features, including configurable debugging options that are now available on the Run button menu.
Visual Studio Code 1.92, also identified as the July 2024 version of the editor, was introduced August 1. Downloads for Windows, Mac and Linux can be accessed from the Visual Studio Code web page.
It now also features integration with Google's other products and can export code to Colab, the company's cloud-based notebook environment for Python, as well as help users write functions for Sheets.
Microsoft has also made some improvements to its new JavaScript debugger, which is included with VS Code Insiders edition or can be installed from Microsoft's extension Marketplace in VS Code stable.
