SEPTA service cuts in Philadelphia worry parents of over 50,000 students reliant on public transit, as alternative transport solutions are sought amid a state budget debate affecting local transit funding.

After months of discussion, drastic service cuts -- that will see SEPTA routes eliminated, shortened and/or reduced -- went into effect on Sunday.

We are now in the final hour before sweeping SEPTA service cuts because of a funding crisis. Trains and buses will run less frequently, and some bus routes are disappearing altogether. Eva Andersen reports the latest.
