Kyiv has said its strikes are in response to Russia's attacks on Ukraine and are aimed at destroying infrastructure deemed crucial to Moscow's military efforts.

Ukrainian drone attacks overnight on several Russian power and energy facilities forced capacity reduction at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant and set a fuel export terminal in Ust-Luga on fire, Russian officials said yesterday.

Russian authorities reported damage to nuclear facilities, but the fire was extinguished without injuries, and radiation levels remained normal.
