NEW YORK — Giancarlo Stanton called the way the Yankees have performed against the Red Sox this season “unacceptable” following Saturday afternoon’s rout at Yankee Stadium. Watching the way this team has been playing lately, predictable would also apply.

Interestingly (I’m sure some of you reading this think I’m playing it fast and loose with the word interestingly) this is not the first or even the second card baseball to feature a squirrel in recent history.

BOTTOM LINE: The Boston Red Sox will try to continue a three-game win streak with a victory over the New York Yankees. New York has a 69-60 record overall and a 37-28 record at home. Yankees pitchers have a collective 4.04 ERA, which ranks ninth in the AL.
