For Ottawa, the series opener was yet another one-goal game. The Charge have now won 13 one-goal games, the most in the PWHL.

Britta Curl-Salemme tied it with 16 seconds left and scored at 16:24 of overtime to give the defending champion Minnesota Frost a 2-1 victory over the Ottawa Charge on Thursday night, evening the PWHL championship series at a game apiece.

The game itself was low-scoring, thanks to the play of Charge netminder Gwyneth Philips and Frost goaltender Nicole Hensley. Goals from Ottawa’s Rebecca Leslie and Minnesota’s Klara Hymlarova were all either side could muster up in regulation.
