The Oregon baseball team’s first season in the Big Ten Conference will not end with a championship. The top-seeded Ducks suffered a 7-3 defeat to the eighth-seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday morning in the final pool play matchup of the Big Ten baseball tournament in Omaha.

The Nebraska baseball season is still alive. Nebraska, the 8-seed in the Big Ten Tournament, upended 1-seed Oregon Saturday morning at Charles Schwab Field, 7-3. The Huskers improve to 30-27 on the while while the Ducks fall to 41-14.

Oregon could do much of anything against Nebraska starter Jackson Brockett and the Cornhuskers oust the Ducks from the Big Ten tournament.
