A month after they began training camp, the Jets can now officially look ahead to Week 1 and their date against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 7.

Davis appears to have pulled ahead of McCrary-Ball in the battle for the third linebacker position. Mauigoa getting the last roster spot because he was their fifth-round pick – and the Jets elevating a fifth linebacker like McCrary-Ball or Barnes, who both had some nice moments in camp and the preseason, from the practice squad.
