Mark Zuckerberg wooed another elite researcher with pay package in the tens of millions, continuing a recruitment push.

Apple Inc.’s top executive in charge of artificial intelligence models is leaving for Meta Platforms Inc., another setback in the iPhone maker’s struggling AI efforts.

According to a Bloomberg report, Meta has convinced Apple’s head of AI models, Ruoming Pang, to hop on board Meta’s AI train. Pang is expected to join Meta and be part of Mark Zuckerberg’s recently formed superintelligence unit.
