A man fatally shot two employees of the Israeli Embassy in Washington on Wednesday night outside an event at the Capital Jewish Museum, officials said.

Investigators have seized writings that they believe belong to the suspect as they search for a motive in the fatal attack.

Many groups said the D.C. Jewish museum shooter's choice of target was antisemitic; others focused on shooting's connection to Israel.
