Tesla board member Kimbal Musk defended CEO Elon Musk's newly approved $29 billion compensation package, saying his brother "deserves to be paid" after years without a salary, even as the deal faces regulatory scrutiny,

The group’s letter argues that Tesla shareholders likely “did not believe they were voting on an equity plan that would cover compensation to Mr. Musk” all the way back in 2019.
