Aaron Judge is not the only Yankees slugger who is giving opposing pitchers fits over the past few weeks.

Judge and deGrom met in the first inning, when a pitcher who has tried throwing with less velocity and with more of a varied selection — in an attempt to stay healthy — looked an awful lot like deGrom in his prime: He ignored those secondary pitches and only went with heaters and sliders, though he lost Judge on a six-pitch walk.

Veteran Paul Goldschmidt, 37, was one of the first out of the dugout — sprinting like a kid himself to mob Dominguez at home plate. It was a moment that spoke volumes: part joy, part validation, all family. And the love didn’t stop when the lights went out.
