While Oklahoma took the first game with a 5-1 win, Alabama pitcher Jocelyn Briski held the Sooners offense to two hits and one run off a solo home run, while the Crimson Tide secured the 6-1 victory with seven hits and two home runs by Kari Heivilin and Abby Duchscherer.

The No. 8 seed Gamecocks beat No. 9 UCLA 9-2 on Friday in game one of the NCAA Tournament super regional series. Head coach Ashley Chastain Woodard and her team earned the victory in front of a sold-out crowd at Carolina Softball Stadium.
