Starting second will be veteran Takuma Sato, driving the No. 75 AMADA Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda. Sato, who leads a driver development program as part of his role as an Executive Advisor at Honda Racing, has won the Indianapolis 500 twice. His first win came back in 2017, and he won it again in 2020.

The 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500 provides Chevrolet with the biggest stage in racing to showcase its engineering development and performance on the biggest stage in American Motorsports.

This year's race is Sunday, May 25, 2025, on the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The green flag is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. ET. Practice began this week, with qualifying on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19. There's more practice Monday, and Carb Day is Friday, May 23. Legends Day is Saturday, May 24.
