A small plane crashed into a San Diego neighborhood early Thursday, killing multiple people believed to be passengers and destroying nearly a dozen homes and several more vehicles.

A small plane crashed into the San Diego neighborhood of Tierrasanta early Thursday morning, causing damage to homes and cars. The crash, involving a Cessna 550 plane, occurred near Sculpin Street and Santo Road,

Locals wanting to help the relief effort on Thursday can take donations to the evacuation center at Miller Elementary School at 4343 Shields St. Starting Friday, donations can go to the United Way location at 4699 Murphy Canyon Road. Organizers are requesting diapers, wipes, non-perishable foods and gift cards for food and gas.
